Privacy Policy

How Fernwell Publishing collects, uses, and protects information shared through this website.

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Information we collect

When you voluntarily subscribe to the Fernwell Dispatch, we collect the email address you provide and the technical submission information processed by our hosting provider. If you contact us in the future, we may collect the information you choose to share. Hosting providers may process ordinary technical information, such as IP addresses and access logs, for security and service delivery.

Why we use information

We use information to respond to requests, administer requested communications, maintain website security, and operate the website. We do not use your newsletter signup as permission to send unrelated communications.

Newsletter choices

Joining the Dispatch is optional. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails through the unsubscribe mechanism in each message once mailing is activated. A newsletter service must be configured to honor unsubscribe requests before any campaign is sent.

Service providers and sharing

Our website may use Netlify for hosting and form collection. If we later activate an email provider, ecommerce platform, or analytics service, this policy must be updated to name or describe those services and their data practices. We do not currently claim to sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; this must be rechecked whenever tracking or advertising tools are added.

Retention and security

We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, operational records, and legal obligations. The exact retention settings of connected services must be verified before launch. We use reasonable security measures, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your email, subject to applicable law and verification. California privacy rights under the CCPA/CPRA apply only where statutory criteria are met; we will honor applicable rights and update this notice if our obligations change.

Children

This corporate website and its newsletter are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13 through this site. Her Niche Life operates as a separate editorial property; its youth-audience privacy practices must be reviewed separately.

International visitors

If we begin targeting visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom or processing their personal information in ways covered by applicable privacy law, we will review and update our notices and processes accordingly.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as services change. For privacy requests, a verified privacy contact address must be published before launch.
